OVERVIEW
We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client's team as a Scientist II/III Antibody Purification in Ridgefield, CT. The Scientist II/III Antibody Purification role will be to provide expertise and knowledge in the area of protein purification, specifically focusing on purification of monoclonal antibodies and antibody formats. The focus will be to supporting our high-throughput team providing material and meaning full data to multiple project teams. Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform scientific experiments that contribute to core group/research goals and reflect expert knowledge in development of biological drugs and in the area of protein purification, CMC evaluation and protein biochemistry related to the development of biological drugs. * Be responsible to conduct high throughput experiments daily and support experienced scientists in planning and analyzing the generated data. * Prepare and communicate data in technical reports and oral presentations. Deliver updates to team members and management in context of overall project goals. * Maintain scientific excellence in area of protein purification, protein expression and biophysical characterization. Develop broad knowledge in field of expertise, including the ability to interpret current literature relevant to R&D projects * Participate as a representative on multiple project teams and aid in defining and prioritizing departmental aspects of project issues and goals. * Comply with all applicable regulations; Ensures that work performed in area of responsibility is conducted in a safe and compliant manner; Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies. We are looking for a person who has some experience with liquid handlers/Hamilton devices EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION Scientist II Requirements: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with two-plus (2+) years of experience in Biochemistry or related scientific discipline or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Biochemistry or related scientific discipline Scientist III Requirements: Master's Degree from an accredited institution with three-plus (3+) years of experience in Biochemistry or related scientific discipline, OR Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with seven-plus (7+) years of experience in Biochemistry or related scientific discipline Ability to act while a supervisor is in his/her absence To be a best-fit your strengths must include: * Provide and apply expertise in protein purification techniques. * Demonstrate additional scientific knowledge of projects and understand technology beyond protein purification * Demonstrate a broad knowledge in the field of biology and biochemistry (SDS-PAGE, Western blot analysis, HPLC, protein characterization, aggregation, glycosylation, generic protein analysis) * Ability to multi-task and organize multiple experiments simultaneously * Ability to work in team-oriented environment * Ability to troubleshoot * Communicate effectively orally and in writing in a local and international inter-disciplinary environment * Must be highly motivated and an independent performer * Experience and knowledge with antibody and multi-specific molecules preferred * Familiarity with laboratory automation, high-throughput process development and digitalization is a plus. * Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus About Advanced Clinical Advanced Clinical is an award-winning clinical development organization that provides global services including CRO, Functional Support, Quality & Validation, Patient Recruitment and Retention, and Strategic Talent Acquisition solutions for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device organizations.
