What You Can Expect

As a Project Development Senior Advisor, you will support development of distributed solar and solar + Storage projects for ENGIE Distributed Solar and Storage (DSS) business in the United States. You will work on discrete tasks to support land acquisition, offtake strategy, zoning, permitting, environmental review, and other aspects of solar energy and storage project development to ultimately fulfill the company's renewable energy aspirations and growth strategy within North America. You will have strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills and an aptitude for juggling a variety of simultaneous tasks, all while demonstrating a positive and professional attitude.




  • Lead development activities in early, mid and late stage for both greenfield and brownfield projects that are acquired through the DSS Business Development and Origination Teams
  • Mentor and guide new members to achieve group portfolio targets in collaboration with other senior staff with the project development team
  • Support policy research and in new target states working with policy and regulatory affairs team
  • Direct / manage both internal and external subject matter experts to complete all development activities including but not limited to environmental, local/state/federal permitting, interconnection, real estate, procurement, and design activities
  • Represent ENGIE with customers, landowners, and local/state/regional stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process, including attending community engagement events, conferences, policy/advocacy group meetings and other local events
  • Support Merger & Acquisition (M&A) opportunities originated by the DSS Business Development Team
  • Manage transaction negotiation and closings against strict schedules and deadlines; align stakeholder needs and internal approvals process
  • Prepare and lead the preparation and presentation for project/market reviews at both the DSS level and Global level management committees
  • Ensure that ENGIE is following internal pre-contract procedures and approvals processes
  • Lead and train junior members of Project Development team and assign tasks as appropriate and assist with other tasks as needed



What You'll Bring



  • Bachelor's degree in which you completed courses in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Economics or other related disciplines
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in energy
  • A minimum of five (5) years of renewable project development experience, including managing projects at various stages of the development lifecycle
  • Conscientious and detail oriented
  • Unimpeachable integrity
  • Acts with a team-first attitude
  • High degree of creative problem-solving acumen, especially in the context of renewables transactions and project development
  • Comfortable resolving and settling challenging commercial disagreements - always poised and professional with internal and external stakeholders
  • General understanding of renewable energy market trends and the resulting impacts on solar project development
  • Results-oriented and motivated professional with the ability to work independently within a large matrixed organization while effectively interfacing with the various cross-functional employee groups
  • Ability to thrive in quickly changing environment and manage multiple high-stakes transactions simultaneously
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail with the ability to present to a wide range of audiences, including third party developers, landowners, potential off takers, government officials, and corporate leaders
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint



Additional Details



  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy
  • Must be available to travel domestically up to 25% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies



Compensation

Salary Range: $131,000 - $200,790 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
