The Manufacturing Team Lead Supports the manufacturing supervisor by providing hands-on support and daily work instruction to the department team. This individual serves as technical lead in all facets of production for the assigned area, performs complex tasks, and mentors other employees.

Position Responsibilities:

* Under general direction of the Supervisor and utilization of the ERP system, distribute work and maintain work flow through the assigned area. Maintaining up to date status of all product movement throughout.

* Assist in production of all First Piece Builds.

* Mentor employees in the assigned area and assist in training new and existing employees on all processes related to tasks.

* Monitor quality levels of the assigned area and provide guidance and correction to team members in real-time as needed.

* Monitor employee concerns, provide verbal direction, maintain up to date priority boards and work with Supervisor to resolve any pending tasks immediately.

* Ensure team members are following proper procedures per Process Instructions/ Work Instructions. Request PI/WI updates as needed to continue to move to lean work methods.

* Complete more difficult tasks, rework and/or repair in the assigned area.

* Enter data into company databases to read work instructions and complete operations.

* Interface with Engineers/Quality to problem solve or ask questions.

* Follow proper handling procedures while moving components and boards throughout processes.

* Maintain required training and certifications in IPC610 and JStandard001 procedures.

* Responsible for self-inspection of product for any defects prior to moving product to next step.

* Inspect and maintain a clean work environment to ensure product integrity and quality.

* Performs other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the values of this organization.

* Ability to read and comprehend work and process instructions

* Possesses attention to detail and problem solving skills under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

* Good communication skills

* Advanced computer skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead small teams

* Ability to make decisions on the go in a fast past work environment

* Certified in IPC610 and JStandard001 procedures

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred

* Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing environment.

* Ability to work independently and as a team player within a small team

* Fine motor skills and dexterity; vision - able to utilize microscope

* Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.

Work Environment:

* Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

* Hours: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Thursday; Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with additional hours as needed to meet demand. Occasional off-shift hours may also be required to provide support to operations.

* 9/80 work schedule.
