We are lookingfor a MOE Trainerfor ourBaltimore, Marylandfacility.

In your role as a Mechanical Trainer you will be responsible for managing all aspects of organizing and providing classroom and handson training to the Alstom mechanical department.

Training will include but not be limited to the following:



  • Qualified Maintenance persom (QMP) training
  • Manage QMP manual updates
  • Fall Protection training
  • Fork lift training
  • Aerial Lift training
  • MFE / MFC rules training
  • DSLE annual ride checks
  • Ensure all FRA updates are discussed and implemented
  • Develop training programs new equipment or systems
  • Ensure maintenance alerts distributed
  • Equipment setup and configuration issues
  • Understanding of Maximo work order manipulation and Computer skills for Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with the schematics and air diagrams for all Marc equipment
  • Serve as delegate to Training and Regulatory Compliance Manager

  • Training will be provided in Baltimore, MD upon hire.



Qualifications



  • 5 years experience in a railroad mechanical or related field
  • Be QMP certified on all MARC rolling stock
  • Proficient in administering QMP and other training curriculum
  • Be certified MFE / MFC
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Drivers License



Basic competencies




  • Verbal comprehension (Understand oral and written communications, both general and technical)
  • Communication skills (Provide clear instructions / directions)
  • Reasoning skills (Problem solving and troubleshooting skills)
  • Mechanical aptitude



Physical requirements



  • Walking long distance over uneven terrain
  • Demonstrate auditory and visual acuity
  • Exposure to equipment that intensifies the heat factor on an occasional basis



Employment conditions



  • Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries
  • Wear protective equipment such as hard hat, hearing protection, safety boots and safety glasses
  • Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime and various shift work
