OVERVIEW
We are currently searching for a skilled professional to join a well-known client's team as a R&D Technician in Plymouth, MN. The Technician role will involve performing a variety of tests on medical devices, specifically heart catheters, including mechanical, electrical, conditioning, length, OD, and visual assessments. Their work will have a direct impact on the organization and the larger clinical industry, making this an amazing career opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES * Conduct mechanical, electrical, and visual tests on medical devices, including heart catheters. * Utilize various testing equipment and tools such as calipers, MTS, multimeters, digital thermometers, Force Gage, Cognex, and LabView. * Follow established test methods, safety guidelines, and good documentation practices (GDP). * Accurately record data and ensure thorough documentation of test results. * Clearly communicate observations, issues, and test outcomes to engineers and the team. * Collaborate effectively within a team to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. * Draft documentation related to testing as needed. * Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper use of safety devices during all tasks. EXPERIENCE Experience in a medical device setting (testing preferred but product building will be accepted) EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in science or a related discipline is preferred. Candidates with a BS in Engineering may be overqualified, as this role is primarily focused on testing rather than design work. To be a best-fit your strengths must include: * Familiarity with R&D processes and test methods. * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
