Job Description

Albany International Corp. is a global advanced textiles and materials processing company. The company has two core businesses, The Machine Clothing segment is the world's leading producer of custom-designed fabrics and belts essential to production in the paper, nonwovens, and other process industries and Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is a rapidly growing supplier of highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry.


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated HRIS Intern to join our team. This intern will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the SuccessFactors recruiting module and developing our Job Description (JD) library. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Human Resources Information Systems, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with SuccessFactors Implementation: Work closely with the HRIS team to prepare for the implementation of the SuccessFactors recruiting module. This includes data migration, testing, and training support.
  • Create our internal Job Description Library: This involves gathering job descriptions, standardizing job descriptions, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the library.
  • Data Entry and Management: Perform data entry and management tasks to ensure that all HR information is up-to-date and accurately reflected in the system.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and update documentation related to HRIS processes and procedures. Generate reports and analyses as needed to support HRIS initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and suggest solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HRIS operations.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and support additional tasks that arise within the HR team, depending on the company's needs and the intern's experience.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Strong interest in HRIS and HR technology.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proactive and eager to learn new systems and processes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience with HRIS systems or SuccessFactors is a plus, but not required.
