Job Description Johnson County Developmental Supports (JCDS) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Team Leader for their residential services division. JCDS serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We focus on individuals' abilities, provide choice driven supports, and advocate alongside people to live and work in our community. We aspire to build a community that promotes, supports, and embraces people of all abilities. Team Leaders are responsible for coordinating and supervising the delivery of services with JCDS. First Review of candidates will be Monday, January 20, 2025. Responsibilities include:
Leads the development of a High Performing Organization through active demonstration of the county's Pillars of Performance, encouraging leadership and empowerment at all levels of the organization; dedicates QII activities for self and staff; actively mentors, coaches and collaborates with employees to enhance the county mission and vision, keeping in mind the common goal of leaving our community better than we found it.
Job Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Five (5) years of human services or relevant experience required. Three (3) years experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities or other vulnerable population, and one (1) year leading, directing, supervising, or coordinating work of others is preferred. Must be able to successfully complete JCDS training (Medication Administration, CPR, First Aid, MANDT, ANE, etc.) in order to maintain required certifications. A Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field is preferred. Experience can substitute for education and education can substitute for experience. Candidate must be able to successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background screenings, which includes KDADS required screenings and registry checks. This position will require the use of a personal vehicle to transport clients. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. |
