Job Description

Summary/objective

Buffalo Rock is an award-winning Pepsi and Keurig Dr Pepper bottler founded in Birmingham, AL more than 122 years ago. Buffalo Rock manages the best non-alcoholic beverage portfolio in the country, which includes several beloved global and regional brands. The primary duty of the Recruiting Lead is to research, source, attract, evaluate, refer candidates, along with managing the talent acquisition process to provide the Hiring Managers with remarkable Employee Partners for their talent needs. The Recruiting Lead reports to the Executive Director, Recruiting and Talent Development.

  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Total ownership for assigned job orders/ hiring needs.
  • Champion the ATS with maximum utilization of the recruitment software daily.
  • Ensure assigned hiring needs are filled timely and efficiently.
  • Responsible for reporting requirements and metrics.
  • Oversee and manage flow log records for all corporate candidates.
  • Critical thinking, ability to assess, and problem solve.
  • Adhere to OFCCP and EEOC compliance practices.
  • Supervise and direct Employee Experience Specialist in the areas of recruiting.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with hiring managers.
  • Set communication cadence to identify and review all staffing vacancies/needs with hiring managers and advise fulfillment strategy.
  • Continuous research and implementation of wide variety of sourcing methods.
  • Full ownership of establishment and development of strategic relationships with local community partners and agencies to assist with the achievement of recruitment goals.
  • Lead, coordinate, and plan recruitment activities, i.e. High School, Colleges, Job Fairs, etc.
  • Lead the screening and interview process, ascertain candidacy fit, and provide candidate recommendations.
  • Facilitate job offers and any related negotiation.
  • Stay abreast of labor market, recruiting trends, and best practices.
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Contribute to recruiting and talent development continuous improvement projects.
  • Works with and deals ethically and effectively with all levels within the company and outside the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience



  • Education: Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college), strongly preferred. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, must have a High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Must have at least 2 years of full life cycle recruiting experience within a team environment with proven track record of success.
  • Certifications & Licenses: Valid driver license with a good driving record; Required
  • Computer Skills:


-Proficient in Microsoft Office products is required including, but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Access, etc.

-Expert in Applicant Tracking System and recruitment software.



  • Other Requirements: Proven strong interpersonal sensitivity to assess needs and take initiative in problem solving, obsessed with continuous improvement, dependable.
