Medical Assistant, Primary Care - Concord

Mass General Brigham Community Physicians
United States, Massachusetts, Concord
80 Beharrell Street (Show on map)
Jan 01, 2025
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant II to support our practice onsite Monday through Friday. We are open 8:00am to 5:30pm, so shifts are staggered accordingly during that time. Dedicated to clinical support as true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team. While we ideally aim to have our clinical support staff members working 1:1 with an assigned provider, they do cross-cover, rotate, and collaborate with various providers to develop their skills, expose them to different styles, and expand their clinical knowledge.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office (each provider sees up to 12 patients per day)
- Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, phlebotomy, and treatments as directed)
- Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to panel management (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, coordination of care, etc.
- we have a nursing team to handle true phone triage!)
- Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas - Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs

When hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only the relevant skills and competencies, but also positive attitudes, empathy, and genuine passion for this work.

Required:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire

Preferred:

  • Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1 year professional experience
  • National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
