THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Cook 1, you will be responsible for the preparation of all menu items in accordance with the production sheet, utilizing standardized recipes to ensure consistent quantity and quality, and adjusting recipes to yield required quantities and minimize waste. Within this role, it is imperative to diligently adhere to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures in all aspects of food handling and personal hygiene to ensure the safety of food products served to our customers. As a lead worker, you will also assist in coordinating work activities for other staff. Additional duties may involve completing weekly cleaning tasks, posting menus, receiving food deliveries, securing areas and doors, and pulling food items from storage.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work schedule will vary. Possible shifts include 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Desirable Preparation for Work:

  • Experience in cooking or quantity food preparation; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
