HJF is seeking a Travel Expense Coordinator II to provide support associated with HJF official travel expense reimbursement. This position will be in support of the HJF Travel Department.

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners. HJF's support and administrative capabilities allow military medical researchers and clinicians to maintain their scientific focus and accomplish their research goals.


Responsibilities

  • Reconcile and process domestic and international travel expense reports and prepayments requests. Follow up on delinquent expense reports and budget errors. Ensure adherence to travel policies and related company policies.
  • Encumber travel funds using HJF's E-business systems.
  • Reconcile and process hotel and rental car direct bill invoices, applying designated award information and ensuring support documentation is complete before submitting for payment. Review travel charges on company-wide corporate cards, ensuring expenditures are correct and documented on travel reports.
  • Conduct and/or support any employee training related to travel.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Degree or GED.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience required

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Highly organized.
  • Good analytical and superb customer service skills.
  • Reconciliation experience preferred.
  • Financial background is ideal.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.

Work Environment

  • This position will take place primarily in an office setting.

Compensation

  • The hourly pay range for this position is $24.09-$35.00. Actual hourly pay will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
