Job Description

Are you passionate about maintaining a clean, well-kept and organized environment?

We are seeking a hard-working, motivated, upbeat teammate with excellent communication skills to join the Environmental Services team as a Sanitation Associate at our Main Campus - 1275 York Ave. at Memorial Sloan Kettering. We will provide you with an introduction to all areas of hospitality and retail service.

Role Overview:
    Perform sanitation duties (e.g., cleaning, mopping, dish washing, pot washing and other related duties) within the various locations of the Food and Nutrition Services department.
  • Ensure all equipment and supplies are operational and available at workstation.
  • Clean, sanitize and store pots/pans, dishes and silverware; clean and sanitize all equipment (e.g. kettle, ovens, mixers, refrigerators).
  • Sweep, mop and clean assigned areas.
  • Ensure supply of dishes and utensils throughout the Main Kitchen and Retail areas.
  • Collect and dispose of garbage and other trash & recycling collections.

Core Skills:
  • Ability to read, write and understand basic instructions.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of shift. Ability to push, pull and lift heavy items weight up to 50 lbs.
  • One year of dishwasher or porter experience in restaurant, hospital, school etc. including cleaning of kitchen appliances/utensils etc. strongly preferred.

  • Schedule: Part-time Part-time; shift 22.5/hr a week..
