Position Summary
The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus.

The Transfer Team at Western Carolina University evaluates and articulates transfer credit and exam scores for new and current students. This involves the physical processing and imaging of transcripts from other institutions; communicating regularly with department heads, program directors, advisors and admissions staff; training student workers; and contributing to graduation and commencement processes as part of the larger Registrar's Office staff. Thorough training will be provided, as well as campus-wide professional development opportunities. The successful applicant would be someone who enjoys working as part of a team and who can manage and prioritize their own time and workload; is familiar with working with the fine details of processes and who catches errors and inconsistencies in data; asks questions about anything they don't understand; and enjoys advocating for students and partnering with other departments to make processes more efficient and helpful.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position
High school education and some college level education is preferred.
-Prior work experience utilizing computer technology and windows based programs
-Proficiency in high volume workload and keyboarding/data entry
-Extensive knowledge of university policies and procedures as related to the transfer of credit
-The ability to fully analyze and interpret transfer credit information
-Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
