The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a dedicated CRNA or CAA to join its Adult Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Anesthesiology practice. At our surgery centers, the practice of anesthesiology encompasses a medically directed team approach involving faculty anesthesiologists, anesthesiology fellows, residents, and advanced practice CRNAs and CAAs. The successful candidate must possess the ability to provide high quality anesthesia care to a complex patient population, working directly under the supervision of our anesthesiologists and as part of a team of highly trained and dedicated team of CAAs and certified nurse anesthetists. Patient Care Sites:
In this role you will: * Administer anesthesia to include anxiolysis, sedation and general anesthesia. * Maintain anesthesia delivery systems and monitors, including testing and calibration. * Monitor patients during the perioperative period. * Collaborate in creating anesthetic care plans. * Perform post-procedure tests on patients to ensure safe and adequate recovery. * Responsible for the operation of anesthesia equipment to monitor patients while delivering direct patient care. * Provide direct patient care before, during and after anesthesia to ensure continuity of care and quality. * Obtain patient medical histories, conduct physical exams, and pre-procedure interviews. * Review the complete patient medical history with the patient/family. * Administer/order required diagnostic and laboratory tests. * Collaborate with Anesthesiologists to provide the planned anesthetic plan. * Employ CPR or other emergency procedures as indicated. * Perform various administrative duties, such as collecting medical records, conducting chart reviews, and following up with patients/families pre or post procedure.
