Job Details

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures, all piping of drainage systems, water supply, vent systems, storm water drainage systems, natural gas lines, fire sprinkler piping, medical gas and vacuum piping of the hospitals.

Job Description

1. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson

2. Installs and repairs pipes and fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, safety showers and eyewashes) for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids; installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation.
3. Perform inspections on interceptors, separators, and acid neutralizers.
4. Replaces faucets and plumbing fixtures; installs new piping inch to 8 inches; performs snake drainage.

5. Tests backflow devices; installs hot water tanks.
6. Inspects, maintains and repairs Fire Protection Systems (i.e. sprinklers, standpipes, pumps, and dry chemical piping systems).
7. Reads and works from blueprints and sketches to complete workload efficiently and accurately.
8. Performs other maintenance duties as needed and as assigned by the supervisor or lead.
