DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Intern, you will have the chance to acquire essential knowledge and experience regarding the full range of budgeting, procurement, accounting, and other business related duties and operations of the District Fiscal Office. This internship will allow you to apply your background in accounting and business administration during the summer of the 2025 Summer Employment Program.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time internship that will run from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Work hours may vary based on position
  • Travel may be required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Students who are interested in a PennDOT internship must meet all of the following requirements:
  • Must be a high school graduate or college student enrolled (or intending to enroll) on a full-time or part-time basis in a 2- or 4- year post-secondary education program for the fall semester.
    • Acceptable Majors:
    • Accounting
    • Business Administration
    • Business Management
    • Fiscal
  • In good academic standing (as defined by a GPA of 2.0 or higher)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Additional Requirements:

    • Upon verification of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License without incident, some positions may be authorized to operate Department vehicles as part of this job.
    • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
