Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our fire business unit.

Position Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Must be able to demonstrate responsibility in being on time, regular consistent work attendance, good communication and completing all necessary field paperwork as needed
  • The ability to carry and climb step/extension ladders where needed and lift objects up to 50 pounds when needed
  • Position includes Service of all types of low voltage systems, including Fire, Security, Access Control, Cameras
  • Candidate must have experience in servicing/troubleshooting fire alarm systems, addressable and conventional
  • Complete necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in fire alarm technology and industry standards
  • Maintain inventory on truck and have knowledge and understanding of all parts, part numbers and descriptions
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of fire protection systems
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, designs, and installations for compliance documentation
  • Provide training and support to clients on the operation and maintenance of installed fire protection systems
  • Candidate must be willing to participate in the on-call rotation


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in fire alarms
  • Candidate must possess a Massachusetts Class B or D License, preferably with experience in fire alarm service and installation
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record


    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
    • Customer service skills


    Salary: $40-50 an hour, based on experience.
