Zero Trust Security Lead

Teladoc Health
United States, New Jersey
Dec 18, 2024

Teladoc Health is a global, whole person care company made up of a diverse community of people dedicated to transforming the healthcare experience. As an employee, you're empowered to show up every day as your most authentic self and be a part of something bigger - thriving both personally and professionally. Together, let's empower people everywhere to live their healthiest lives.

Overview

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Zero Trust Security Lead who excels at delivering results and driving impactful security strategies. This role is for someone who doesn't just design but builds, leads, and ensures outcomes align with strategic goals. If you are the type of leader who is deeply involved in execution, embraces challenges, and pushes projects over the finish line, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

Drive with Ownership:

  • Help Drive - designing, implementing, and delivering large-scale Zero Trust and network security strategies, ensuring they are aligned with measurable outcomes.

Hands-on Design and Implementation:

  • Be deeply involved in deploying and managing IAM and Network solutions across the cloud (ie: Azure, EntraID, Cloudflare, zscaler, etc..).

Drive Results:

  • Champion projects from concept through execution, aligning teams, influencing stakeholders, and making sure initiatives meet goals and deadlines.

Automation:

  • Establish scalable deployment pipelines for zero trust solutions with a practical, get-it-done approach that simplifies collaboration and removes roadblocks.

Tangible Outcomes:

  • Implement Zero Trust solutions that yield real results-such as reduced incidents, enhanced compliance, and fortified defenses.

Mentorship and Team Enablement:

  • Mentor a capable, motivated team of engineers who can execute with confidence and efficiency.

Fast-paced Problem Solving:

  • Be the go-to leader for solving real-time security challenges and enabling the team to move quickly without sacrificing security.

What Sets You Apart

  • Action-oriented Leadership: Proven ability to lead by doing, not just advising. Your track record should reflect completed projects and successful, measurable results.
  • Hands-on Expertise: Direct experience working with security tools and implementing solutions-not just designing strategies.
  • Metrics-driven: You believe in data and can show the tangible impact of your work, from reduced response times to improved compliance scores.
  • Team-first Attitude: Ability to inspire and guide teams, fostering collaboration and agility.
  • Agile Execution: Familiar with SAFe practices but focused on getting MVPs out and delivering iterative improvements with speed and precision.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years of cloud network security experience, with 2+ years driving large-scale multi cloud zero trust projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft security, Entra ID, AWS IAM, Micro segmentation.
  • Track record of integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and deploying infrastructure-as-code.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft SC-100, AZ-700, or any relevant ZTNA certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving real outcomes.
  • Transit Gateway, Azure WAN, Azure firewall and hub and spoke models (not required)

Why This Role?

  • Be at the forefront of impactful security initiatives where your work directly strengthens the organization's security posture.
  • Work in a team that values getting things done and measures success by the impact you create, not just the plans you propose.
  • Join a culture that supports fast-paced, data-driven decision-making and empowers leaders to make a real difference.
