Clariant is currently seeking a motivated and versatile General Laborer to support the Adsorbents and Additives business unit in Quincy, FL. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks across multiple operational areas to ensure the efficient production, quality, and shipment of our products. Successful candidates will be adaptable, safety-focused, and capable of working in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is a full time, onsite opportunity that involves rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet production goals. Responsibilities



  • Learn and perform tasks for Class 2 through Class 5 jobs as defined by the Union contract, including operation of equipment such as the Primary Crusher, Front End Loader, Fluid Bed Dryer, Extruders, Roller Mill, Screen Tower, etc.
  • Inspect work areas and equipment prior to operation to ensure safe and optimal conditions
  • Operate equipment in accordance with established procedures to produce quality products efficiently and without damage
  • Perform lubrication and adjustments to conveying, milling, and screening systems as needed
  • Collect, label, and submit intermediate and product samples to the laboratory for testing
  • Conduct limited maintenance tasks, such as repairing/replacing screens and sifter trays
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping of assigned work areas
  • Assist in loading bulk rail and truck shipments, including packaged goods
  • Execute additional tasks assigned by management



Requirements

* Highschool Diploma or equivalent; will consider relevant prior work experience in lieu of education

* Experience in manufacturing or industrial processes, preferred

* Experience with motorized industrial equipment, preferred

* Willingness to learn to operate a variety of shipping and material-handling equipment

* Ability to lift and move materials as needed

* Comfortable working in a production environment that may involve noise, dust, and operating heavy machinery

* Ability to work rotating shifts and work areas-based production needs throughout the year
