WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: In this role, you will be manufacturing blood products and samples. You will be processing blood products after the units have been received from the donors. This will involve scanning in the units of blood, processing the units into transfusable components (red cells, platelets, and expressing plasma) and leukoreducing. As a Red Cross Team member, you will take care of your team members - show up for every shift and give 100% while you're there. The aforementioned responsibilities of the position describe the general nature and level of work and are not an exhaustive list. Standard Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, night shift. 11:00 pm to 7:30 am Pay Information: $18 per hour, plus an additional 2.25/hour for hours worked after 11:00 pm. Paid training will be full-time on our day shift, Monday through Friday, for approximately 4 weeks. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Physical Requirements: Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Frequently lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs unassisted. Frequently required to push carts weighing up to 100 pounds on flat flooring or ramps. Frequently required to stand for long periods, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch. Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Able to withstand temperatures in a typical blood banking environment including refrigerators and freezers.
