About the Job

The School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor in Space Physics, to begin in February, 2025. The position is for someone who can provide their own funding, and has demonstrated the ability to do so by obtaining research funding as a Principal Investigator. We are searching for someone to conduct a vigorous and significant research program, including mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students. Candidates are expected to have a funded rocket or spacecraft program, and to have expertise in the physics of the Earth's radiation belts, plasma waves, the Earth's magnetosphere.

Qualifications A Ph.D. in physics or astrophysics.
