Job Summary:

Athletics Program Operations Managers hold a variety of duties for our Wisconsin Football team. Responsibilities may include anything from player analysis to developing relationships with external partners and recruits.


Responsibilities:
Manages team scheduling, travel logistics, budget and maintenance, and monitoring of compliance and athlete eligibility for an intercollegiate athletics program to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the program.

  • 10% Monitors student-athlete academic eligibility and status to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations
  • 45% Evaluates existing strategies, policies, and procedures and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program enhancement; ensures compliance with existing requirements
  • 25% Schedules logistics, secures resources, and finalizes team scheduling of facilities and travel for games, practices, camps, clinics, and special events
  • 5% Manages the unit or program budget
  • 15% May travel with assigned team to ensure compliance with applicable state and university rules

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in collegiate athletics

Knowledge and Skills:
* Ability to multi-task and work under time constraints.
* Must be knowledgeable of rules and regulations of the Big Ten and NCAA.
* Proven strong organizational skills.
* Effective oral and written communication.
* Strong problem solving skills.
* Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Full Time: 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
