Summary
Under general supervision, supports the Press Operators with duties required to gather, inspect, and stage all the necessary components of a job and perform supporting tasks, including but not limited to: verify the availability of components, mount plates, stage tooling, stage materials, ink and cassettes, providing necessary documents to the staged job, perform planned maintenance, organize tooling and perform limited repairs.
Essential Functions

* Follows docket instructions and verifies the availability of plates, tooling, ink, and material mentioned on the job docket and compares them to the press log.
* Stages jobs according to the production schedule.
* Mounts plates, tooling, tags cassettes, assembles doctor blades, and assembles rotary screens using mounting stations by following job docket information and any special instructions.
* Stages and scans material to the correct locations.
* Inspects cylinders and gears for damage. Takes action to initiate repairs when warranted.
* Pulls current press log and color standard and adds them to appropriate job docket.
* Completes NW Job Readiness Checklist to confirm job is ready for production.
* Performs weekly PMs on hot stamp units
* Supports press operators during production by feeding press with materials, remounting, replacing, repairing, and requesting plates and tooling.
* Safely operates and inspects pre-staging equipment such as cranes, mounting stations, plate cutters, and forklifts. Reports and locks out any damaged equipment.
* Communicates effectively during shift change period to insure continuous production and any schedule changes.
* Uses Radius production management system to check plate separations, look for tooling and material availability, tooling location, and information related to job. Uses material availability status to support FIFO material use.
* Participates with cleanup and maintenance duties including: trash bins, recycle bins, pallet storage, and general housekeeping. Keeps work area clean, neat, organized, and hazard free through entire shift.
* Observes recycling guidelines and limits waste of materials and supplies.
* Meets performance metrics set for department to obtain overall plant targets.
* Maintains satisfactory attendance to include timeliness.
* Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulatory consideration.

Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus one year of print manufacturing, production, or operations experience.
* Required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
* Required to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.
* Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
* Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
* Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
Preferred Qualifications
* Two years of print manufacturing, production, or operations experience.
* Prior training or certification in print.
* Experience with Production Management System (Radius), Desktop PC, Excel, Word and Outlook.

Compensation
- Hiring Salary Range/ Hiring Hourly Rate: $19.90 - $23.41
- Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
