Pro Staff is looking for a Materials Support Technician to join our team in Alexandria, MN. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Extrusion department by ensuring safe and efficient operations, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement. The Materials Support Technician will be responsible for supporting the Extrusion department through packing, trailer loading, material handling, and aging.

Responsibilities:



  • Exhibit active leadership to support the company's vision and strategies.
  • Provide a safe work environment by following safety programs and policies.
  • Build relationships within the department and company to best support co-workers and employees.
  • Ensure the department has the tools and resources to communicate any delays or changes in scheduled arrival times of products.
  • Participate in the interviewing and selection process for department openings as needed.
  • Identify and implement methods for reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Review and analyze department data to make continuous improvement recommendations.
  • Apply continuous improvement techniques to enhance department operations.
  • Safely set up and operate equipment to meet production and quality goals.
  • Load trailers, operate cranes, and perform material handling tasks.
  • Inspect products for quality and troubleshoot production issues.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be bilingual English/Spanish
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
  • 1+ years of leadership experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing and production experience.
  • Basic math skills and strong computer proficiency.
  • Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.


Pay & Shift Details:



  • Pay: Starting at $18+/hr., with an additional $2.25 shift differential and $1.00 lead differential, for a minimum of $21.25/hr.
  • Shift: B Shift - Monday to Wednesday: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, Thursday: 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM.
