Central Washington University is recruiting a Director to join our High School Equivalency Program (HEP) team in Yakima, Washington. The Role: The Central Washington University High School Equivalency Program (HEP) is a federally funded program designed to serve migrant and seasonal farmworkers through GED instruction, academic support, and placement service. In support of CWU's mission to build a community of equity and belonging, The CWU HEP Program Director nurtures culturally sustaining practices that promote and facilitate access and success to all prospective and eligible participants. This position administers HEP in accordance with CWU's mission of being a model learning community of equity and belonging through cultivating accessible and equitable pathways for participants from marginalized communities to achieve their academic and professional goals. Additionally, the CWU HEP Director ensures and implements the grant's goals and objectives in compliance with the US Department of Education (USDOE), Office of Migrant Education (OME) and Central Washington University (CWU). Salary: This position has a minimum annual salary of $53,698 and maximum annual salary of $77,862. The Hiring Department's expected hiring range is $53,698 - $65,780. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the hiring range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Schedule/Appointment: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch) / This grant funded position is currently funded through June 30, 2026. Continuation of this position past 06/30/2026 is contingent upon renewed funding being obtained. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an indoor office setting with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer workstation for prolonged periods of time, perform extensive data entry and other computer-related tasks and create/maintain filing systems for departmental records. Some evening or weekend work and/or occasional travel may be required.
