Position Summary
The primary location of this position is the Cullowhee, NC campus. Full-time remote option is available for North Carolina residents.

The Applications Analyst & Programmer designs, installs, tests, codes, and debugs ad hoc and/or manages existing applications, servers, and infrastructure, including the implementation of new versions of existing software or the design of new software and strategies to support the institution's mission. The analyst is responsible for the effective management of 3rd party applications and systems that integrate with our ERP environment using tools like SQL. The administrator updates and maintains system documentation (Technical Manual, Design Specification, etc.) and provides support to application users. The Applications Analyst & Programmer works with functional areas to understand business requirements and implements applications to meet those needs. The analyst works within a variety of software development lifecycles and project management approaches to achieve goals.

Minimum Qualifications
Interested candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment sponsorship or any other immigration-related assistance.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience installing, configuring, and maintaining systems and SQL development, or; associate degree and minimum of 4 years relevant work experience installing, configuring, and maintaining systems and SQL development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the following:
* Business process analysis skills
* Knowledge of data and business processes supporting higher education
* Enterprise application administration
* Exposure to ERP systems, including Ellucian Banner (preferred)
* PL/ SQL development
* Linux
* Creating stored procedures, triggers, and other database objects
* Proven ability to learn and adopt modern technology and understand new business processes.
* Ability to partner effectively at multiple stakeholder levels.
* Presentation and communication skills appropriate to multiple levels of management
