Job Summary The Project Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects that align with organizational goals. This position is responsible for overseeing all phases of project development, from initial conception through to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Manager leads cross-functional teams, coordinates resources, and manages stakeholder expectations to ensure effective communication and collaboration. By identifying potential risks, implementing solutions, and ensuring quality control, the Project Manager drives operational efficiency and contributes to the organization's overall success. This is grant funded and is scheduled to end on 6/30/2027. Essential Functions 30% - Collaborate with stakeholders and lead project management activities for multiple entities, campus partners, business partners, and grants, including creating diverse work teams for the development of project scopes, establishment of project objectives, milestones, risks, and deliverables; to include creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, tracking and reporting on performance and other measures, budgets and expenses. 30% - Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, required documentation, and presentations to various audiences, including project teams, business representatives, college representatives, and other key stakeholders. Deliver appropriate and effective communication to all levels of individuals involved to provide project summaries in timely and effective standards, this could be both oral and written formats. 15% - Identify and develop trusted advisory relationships with project, program stakeholders, and funding sources. Provide leadership for project team(s) by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, and adhering to responsibilities and project milestones. Ensure team members are informed, have clear goals, and work collaboratively and in partnership to achieve planned outcomes. Provides project troubleshooting and assistance to resolve issues related to projects. 15% - Represent project strategies and communication plans that established goals and outcomes of the project. Independently responds on behalf of the department to issues or concerns while working closely with all of the department's leadership. 10% - Act as an internal quality control check for projects and monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, and critical path deliverables. Participate with and maintain relationship with the NSTC consortium. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business, or public administration and two (2) years of experience providing journey-level project management coordination and assistance including preparing reports, maintaining records, tracking budgets, performing research, and assisting with project communication. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Desired Qualifications 1. Minimum of three (3) years or more experience in project management or related experience, using continuous process improvement disciplines to create goals and achieve outcomes in education, government, or similar industries. 2. Three (3) years or more experience of proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving environments, while demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence and collaborating across multiple areas to achieve a common objective. 3. Minimum of three (3) of experience in successfully leading projects, teams, and programs on time, on schedule, and within budget. 4. Three (3) years or more of strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down organizational structures. Proven ability to be flexible and conform to shifting priorities. 5. Proven ability to be flexible and conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities. 6. Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of department needs in education or government environment. Special Working Conditions Special Requirements: Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: None. Preferred: Project Management or other related certification may be preferred for some assignments. ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Positions in this class typically require: fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Working Conditions: Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment. Requires driving from location to location, college to college.
