JOB MISSION: As a Product Developer on the Domestic Development team, you will work daily with a cross-functional project team on development tasks and monitor associated deadlines for various Made In the USA footwear initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining open lines of communication with product engineering, engineering services, purchasing, planning, marketing, design, manufacturing, and development center. You will generate spec sheets and tech packages that will drive the creation of prototypes. In this position, you will gain an understanding of shoe construction, terminology, technical drawings, and manufacturing processes. You will work directly with domestic and international suppliers to select, order, and track materials needed for prototyping and manufacturing trials. You will learn to evaluate prototypes and extreme samples for accuracy and quality standards. You will develop an understanding of margins, FOB (free on board), and costing factors to help drive the business. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: * General Understanding of shoe construction, raw materials, and design for manufacturing concepts.
