Shift: Must be flexible

Technical Support Specialist essential tasks:



  • Provide telephone assistance to customers for troubleshooting and repair of UPS systems.
  • Conduct both field and in-house repairs and training for customers and Toshiba personnel.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, including service call and monthly activity reports, following departmental procedures.
  • Maintain and update a technical support database.
  • Demonstrate expertise in one product family with working knowledge of at least one other.
  • Stay updated on technology and products through self-directed learning.
  • Manage and update a central library of product manuals and engineering design change data.


Requirements:



  • Must have associate's degree in an electrical engineering or technical field with uninterruptible power supply systems and experience working with high voltage test equipment.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing UPS systems with at least one year of experience.
  • Attended in-house service training for various products.
  • Proficient in using tools such as hand/power tools, electronic test equipment, high-voltage testers, and PLC programmers.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks like lifting, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and working in confined or dusty environments.
  • Comfortable working in non-climatically controlled conditions at start-up or construction sites.
