Marrakech is looking for staff to work with our wonderful participants with developmental disabilities, physical, behavioral or other needs in a group home setting. We seek nurturing people who will provide care with respect and dignity as well as promote independence and community integration.

SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Group Homes plans, coordinates and directs quality control program designed to ensure continuous services consistent with established agency and state regulatory standards by performing the following duties. Must have own, insured vehicle to use for work for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides management oversight to a minimum of six (6) group homes
  • Assists in the QSR/Licensing inspections for programs outside of their assigned cluster, as needed
  • Actively facilitates and trains Program Managers/Coordinators under their supervision to attain the Senior Program Manager status
  • Assists in supporting the training of new Program Directors Coordinates the referral process and the admission process for responsible homes. Ensures that programs are adequately staffed with appropriate staffing as required.
  • Provides hands-on training to management team on standardized systems to ensure program quality. Assists in in-service training for their assigned cluster of programs, as well as agency wide Maintains system for communicating important information to all program management.
  • Assists in hiring process for all staff. Participates in director on-call rotation.
  • Completes performance evaluations for Management team; ensures staff evaluations have been completed.
  • Works closely managers to ensure development and writing of program goals, completion of assessments, regular team meetings, follow up as well as the entire habilitation & active treatment process.
  • Provides supervision to the management team and supports their supervision of other staff through the chain of command.
  • Makes recommendations for hire and personnel action regarding staff.
  • Ensures that the program and administrative policies, procedures, and protocols are implemented.
  • Serves as Liaison to the Department of Developmental Services, Department of Public Health and the Department of Social Services and other funding sources as needed.
  • Ensures completion of time cards, petty cash, and receipts in an accurate, appropriate and timely manner for programs.
  • Ensures communication meets expectations including voicemail use, e-mail use, meetings with subordinates, conversation with guardians and funding sources, etc.
  • Completes staff evaluations and ensures managers complete evaluations for their subordinates in a timely fashion. Ensures new managers are completing Outcomes Task List during first 6 months of hire
  • Identifies quality issues and institutes corrective actions.
  • Maintains and develops policies and procedures according to current regulations.
  • Completes audits of Annual, Quarterly, and Monthly program reports and ensures that all functions of the IP, or treatment plan are being followed.
  • Audits records to be sure that they are in compliance with all applicable regulations (ICF, DDS, CARF) Facilitates program inspections on behalf of Marrakech, Inc.
  • Maintains a working competency in licensing regulation. Ensures that facilities are maintained and in safe condition.
  • Facilitates pre-post inspection meetings, responding to statements of deficiency and submitting to Vice President of Residential Services for review/submission to regulatory agency.
  • Ensures the Coordination of all required services for each individual served. Ensures individuals are offered and participate in quality of life activities.



GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Provides training to staff as needed.
  • Participates as a member of various agency committees, which may include the Program Quality Review Committee.
  • Completes six Peer Review visits per year.
  • Ensures that staff have adequate resources to perform job duties
  • Operates motor vehicles safely and in accordance with State Law (agency and personal automobiles) while on work related duties.
  • Reports unsafe conditions and situations immediately per agency policy and procedures. Represents the values, mission and vision of the organization.
  • Serves all customers with alacrity.
  • Communicates with co-workers and other providers accurately and professionally. Represents the values, mission and vision of the organization



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for direct supervision of Managers/Senior Managers and Coordinators/Sr. Coordinators as well as indirect supervision of all employees through subordinate supervisors. This includes, hiring, evaluation, promotion and supervision of staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in human services or related field plus four years of progressive experience working in human services with at least one year being supervisory; or high school diploma/GED and a minimum of six years of experience in human services field including supervisory experience.

  • PMT Certification (upon hire)
  • CPR Certification (upon hire)



SALARY



  • $55,575/yr increases to $61,132/yr after 6 month introductory period
