Our Team

We're seeking an IT Manager, Health & Safety + Learning, who will be a key member of the Manufacturing IT: Environmental, Health & Safety, and Learning IT Leadership Team.

This role is responsible for managing IT talent and department resources for Health & Safety (H&S) and Learning with the goal of delivering technology and data-dependent outcomes. This role will report to the EHSLD IT Director and will bring value by managing the differentiated talent to ensure short- and long-term value for all partners. Additionally, this role will supervise multiple direct reports, providing PBM leadership, related experience, and guidance to support their individual growth plans.

What You Will Do

This IT Manager position within the MFG IT team creates long-term value by ensuring that all the aspects (operations, delivery, talent management, support) of the Health & Safety + Learning IT Team are overseen and managed; specifically:

Manage Department Operations:

* Manage the department (PBM, talent, service, support, delivery) operations in accordance with the expectations of clients and GP IT leaders.
* Create and execute strategies to meet and exceed explicit Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and implicit customer satisfaction for all technologies in the portfolio.
* Oversee department financial and resource strategies and planning; included but not limited to... resource planning, resource forecasting, and necessary reporting.
* Lead efforts to optimize the Health & Safety + Learning portfolios, benchmarking Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and setting Year-Over-Year (YOY) improvement targets.
* Managing and tracking working completion through a variety of means; process, cadences, accountability, reporting, etc.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

* Provide PBM based leadership, mentoring, and guidance to multiple direct reports.
* Grow team members to higher levels of performance and maturity according to their unique Roles, Responsibilities, and Expectations.
* Create mutually beneficial incentives and performance goals for employees. Coach, communicate, and measure to ensure their self-actualization performance goals for employees. Coach, communicate, and measure to ensure they self-actualize.
* Foster a collaborative team environment with peers, colleagues, and customers.
* Create talent strategies such as (but not limited to); Individual Development Plans, Succession Plans, and Individual Compensation Plans.

Orchestrate Delivery:

* Lead and facilitate Demand Fulfillment processes in coordination with partner teams.
* Coach, guide, and assist team members as needed to support business outcomes (Request Intake, SCRUM Team Activities, Project goals, etc.)
* Analyze portfolio performance for opportunity, risk.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains. Create and execute plans to achieve. Explore new opportunities to eliminate waste and create value.

Process Improvement:

* Identify and implement process improvements such as automation, optimization, standardization, or simplification in operations.
* Collaborate with Enterprise IT partners to bring about an improved operating model.
* Illustrate and analyze business processes to support capability development and value realization.

Functional-Technical Expertise:

* Contribute practical and theorical experience, knowledge to solve problems in the Health & Safety and Learning & Development domains.
* Assist teams with accomplishing objectives in their relative domains; support through knowledge networking, assistance and execution.
* Assist with the development of strategies (application, data) toward business outcomes. Apply industry and career experience towards solving problems.
* Understands how to apply user support & emerging technologies.
* Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and staying updated on industry trends.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Working for heavy industry / manufacturing
* Must have worked in software development, data & analytics projects, mobile applications
* AGILE development experience (managing SCRUM teams, managing Product Managers, Owners)
* Experience with work management tools such as ServiceNow, JIRA, AzureDevOps, and/ or market equivalents.
* BS Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, and / or Business Administration

What Will Put You Ahead

* Relevant AGILE certifications (Certified Scrum master (CSM), PMI Agile Certified (PMI-ACP))
* Experience supporting H&S related disciplines: Incident Management, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Process Safety.
* Experience supporting L&D related disciplines: Adult Learning, Industrial Qualifications
* Experience with EHS Management Suites, such as... Cority, Enablon, Entelex, VelocityEHS, and / or market equivalents.
* Experience with Virtual Learning tools such as... Saba, Convergence, Cornerstone, Oculus, Xyleme, and / or market equivalents.
