About the Position

The Chief Technology & Innovation Officer (CTIO) will develop a strategic plan and innovation strategy by aligning new initiatives and technology projects to support the Clerk of the Court's mission and goals. The CTIO will identify and develop technology innovation capabilities, including new technology products and services that will support the lean operations and improve customer experience at the Clerk's Office.

We Require

  • Ten years of professional-level experience in business process improvement, strategy development, program management, and/or information technology, which includes five years of management experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field

  • A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for theminimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job Contributions

  • Develop and execute the technology vision and strategy for the Clerk of the Superior Court in alignment with our mission and values. Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of all of our technology (apps, systems, integrations)

  • Clearly articulate the organization's technical vision and roadmap to key stakeholders, partners, and the broader executive leadership team. Present goals, wins, and progress updates regularly

  • Develop, lead, establish, and maintain short and long-term goals, strategic plans, innovation strategies, and priorities for various projects and programs

  • Create a Program Management Office to qualify and align new initiatives and projects to support the Office's strategic plans

  • Identify and develop technology innovation capabilities, including new technology products and services supporting lean operations and improved customer experience

  • Lead and direct several divisions and specialty groups within the Clerk's Office, including the Information Technology Group, the Project Management Group, and Business Intelligence and Analytics

  • Direct project management, including analytics and business intelligence, to ensure the effective qualification of new initiatives, projects, and development of business requirements

  • Direct the information technology groups in the development and delivery of technology projects that support the strategic plan

  • Develop annual budgets to ensure alignment is in support of short and long-term innovation initiatives

  • Develop strong working relationships with the County, including the County's process improvement group and the County's CIO, to collaborate and partner on innovation opportunities

  • Generate forward-thinking ideas to improve Office innovation regarding business and technical support

  • Mostly in an office setting in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to frequently ascend and descend 1 - 3 steps to the work area, with or without accommodation. May require travel to and from job-related locations during the course of a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and/or private vehicles used on County business
