Position Summary

The Medical Assistant Training Coordinator assumes accountability and responsibility for provision of medical assistant and other non-licensed ambulatory team members to positively influence the quality of patient care. This reflects collaborative practice with MultiCare clinical and operational leadership teams, medical directors and operational leaders (dyad teams), Nursing Professional Development colleagues and front-line care teams to enhance patient care safety, quality, and competency of care delivered. Identifies needs and designs appropriate educational strategies and methods to facilitate MA competence and meet applicable regulatory and professional standards. Utilizes the educational design process of assessing, developing, implementing and evaluation educational activities in alignment with corporate programs in partnership with Ambulatory NPDs. Takes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to influence patient care in the trainer, facilitator, consultant, researcher and change agent roles. This role will also be the key point of contact for any non-licensed ambulatory training programs across MultiCare.

Requirements


  • Current MA-C with Washington State
  • 4 years of Clinic/Ambulatory practice
  • Previous experience as supervisor, Patient Safety Lead or Lead in a clinic setting preferred
  • 1-2 years of staff development, academic teaching and/or project development coordination, preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $57,949.00 - $83,366.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
