VP - Regional Premium Sales

SUMMARY:

Responsible for driving Premium Appliance sales by implementing regional sales plans; supervising territory managers within the region, supporting growth and profitability; mentoring, coaching and training. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with premium appliance dealers, designers and key specifiers throughout the region. A key member of the Almo Premium leadership team, empowered to provide input on strategy, to influence and shape the overall direction of the Almo Premium business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing sales quotas to support manufacturer expectations for growth in regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. Develop field sales action plans to ensure ongoing growth and profitability within the region.
  • Maintain sales volume with all brands, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with vendor partner information, Product Management, supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  • Build and sustain a strong regional sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, motivating and training direct reports.
  • Deliver regional sales execution (performance and targets) by counseling and coaching employees; actively planning, monitoring, and reviewing performance.
  • Plan and develop regional programs that drive sales while maintaining margin and integrity of brands.
  • Build strong dealer relationships and drive close partnerships by amplifying the Almo business proposition. Play an integral role in the continued success of Almo by working with senior management to develop, cultivate and grow relationships with the related dealer base as well as key brand partner contacts.
  • Continuously grow professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on customers, building strong rapport, understanding objectives and developing long-lasting partnerships via solution-based, strategic selling.
  • Coordinate and effectively conduct customer training, Develop sales team to effectively train in all product categories.
  • Work efficiently and effectively with internal resources to appropriately support our customers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant sales leadership experience with proven track record of sales accomplishments in a related industry.
  • Proven ability to motivate, develop, train and mentor direct reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with ability to carefully balance short-term and long-term goals
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Customer-centric with proven ability to deliver a high degree of responsiveness and meet the needs of various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making
  • A history of building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Ability to network within a customer organization to identify all key influencers and decision makers
  • Analytical and capable of holding team members accountable for results
  • Able to manage long and short sales cycles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint

ADDITIONAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
  • Previous experience in the Consumer Home Appliances and/or the Architectural Building Products space is highly preferred

Qualifications

What we look for in a candidate:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of industry experience and/or related sales experience including P&L responsibility and field staff management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of being customer-centric, maintaining strong customer relationships and cross collaboration
  • Strong competency in developing appropriately measures and metrics to hold sales team accountable for results
  • Ability to multi-task to meet the needs of various stakeholders
  • Ability to manage short term sales achievement while developing long term strategies
  • Effective critical thinking and decision making skills
