Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), incumbent will perform entry level duties related to support and coordination of clinical research studies evaluating school-based behavioral interventions for children with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary, cross-university collaboration with diverse community partners, learn about evidence-based interventions for children with ADHD, and contribute to the development of digital health tools.

The incumbent may be responsible for the coordination of one or more single or multi-site clinical trials help prepare protocols for the study; help design flow sheets, data forms and source documents; gather data regarding clinical trial subjects; may apply understanding of inclusion/exclusion eligibility criteria for protocols; help recruit, enroll, register, schedule and retain study subjects; assist research personnel to keep subjects on study schedules; complete study forms to submit to sponsors and/or appropriate agencies; collect, enter and clean data into study databases, maintaining data quality; assist with data analysis; assist with preparation of reports and tables; attend team meetings; assist with management of study website; and perform other duties as assigned.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $28.48 - $45.80 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications


  • HS graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities or equivalent training/experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills; excellent organizational skills; and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Windows, and Qualtrics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment; project management and coordination skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines on concurrent projects.
  • Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with subjects, co-workers, & school professionals.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, which could include early mornings and/or evenings

Preferred Qualifications


  • Demonstrated proficiency with psychological research terminology.
  • Experience working with study subjects
  • Ability to abstract data from research records and transfer it to data collection forms or directly into databases.
  • The ability to travel to participating schools within local school districts.
