Description
Provides exceptional service to all guests and potential guests by assisting them in a friendly, efficient, courteous and professional manner. Maintains the physical hotel property and grounds. Performs necessary repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in a manner responsive to guest satisfaction and for the preservation of Company assets in a safe, cost- effective manner. Occasionally responsible for routine custodial duties as required or assigned. General Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requires basic knowledge of maintenance skills. Requires ability to perform Room PMs, minor repairs, pool / spa maintenance, and other basic preventative maintenance and repairs as well as general maintenance on property. Performs general minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, light carpentry, painting and HVAC systems. Requires ability to receive written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly. Requires ability to keep records of limited difficulty. Requires ability to be available for emergency repairs. Requires willingness to learn new skills. Mental and Physical Requirements EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school. Other formal schooling / experience beneficial and is not required. EXPERIENCE: 1 year previous maintenance experience preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to walk and stand during the work shift. Requires ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout the work week, but may lift 25 - 35 pounds intermittently during work shift. Working Relationships Reports to Chief Engineer and Director of Operations. Works closely with Executive Housekeeper / Rooms Manager and Guest Service personnel. Maintains and promotes a positive and cooperative work relationship with all hotel departments.
