Position Summary |
The Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for faculty positions at all ranks in our rapidly growing Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (
MPN) and Bone Marrow Failure Program. Established in 2019, our program now serves over 500
MPN patients and is increasingly recognized for its comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care.
We are seeking a clinical researcher to enhance our dynamic, multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for patients with
MPN, myelodysplastic syndromes, and bone marrow failure syndromes. The role includes leadership of clinical studies aimed at advancing treatment options and improving patient outcomes for these diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver exceptional clinical care for
MPN, myelodysplastic syndromes, and bone marrow failure syndromes
* Design and lead innovative clinical studies to advance understanding and treatment of these disorders
* Collaborate with a dedicated team of Advanced Practice Providers, nurses, trainees, clinical research staff, and faculty
* Participate in inpatient service coverage for Malignant Hematology
Academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and accomplishments. The successful candidate will be expected to meet
UNC criteria to be appointed on the tenure track. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
MD, DO or
MBBS Degree. Individuals should be board-eligible or board-certified in Adult Hematology and/or Oncology. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to work effectively within a team-oriented, academic clinical environment and bring a passion for patient care and clinical research. Candidates should also have experience managing patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms, myelodysplastic syndromes, and bone marrow failure syndromes. Prior experience in clinical research is strongly preferred. |
