Position: The Department of Business Analytics and Information Systems (
BASY) in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. This nine-month position is designed to support the College's Business Analytics and Information Systems degree programs. The effective date of employment will be August 2025.
Responsibilities: Successful applicants are expected to engage in high-quality and impactful research publishable in top-tier journals, to achieve teaching excellence at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to provide appropriate service to the department, college, and university. The teaching load is commensurate with research expectations. In addition, candidates are expected to contribute to the collegial and intellectual environment of the department by working with other faculty members, advising Ph.D. students, and participating in service-related activities.
About the Department & Programs: The Department of Business Analytics and Information Systems at the Harbert College of Business is home to the nationally ranked undergraduate program in Business Analytics and a thriving undergraduate, master's, and PhD program in Information Systems. The department also offers graduate certificates in Information Systems, Cyber Security Management, and Business Analytics. The faculty supporting these two programs consists of an Eminent Scholar and 14 additional tenure track faculty, five lecturers, one professor of practice, and one person dedicated to the professional development of business analytics and management information systems students. Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Production and Operations Management, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management and European Journal of Information Systems.
