POSITION

This Staff Accountant role at Allspring Global Investments offers an outstanding opportunity to develop your accounting expertise within a world-class finance team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting senior accountants across various accounting functions, including compensation, fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, leases, and cash activity. This position is ideal for ambitious professionals seeking to improve their skills and successfully implement new processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week.

Location(s): Charlotte, NC

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Assist with the monthly close process including preparation of journal entries
  • Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability
  • Reconcile cash transactions to bank activity daily
  • Assist with annual external audit
  • Prepare various financial reports and ad-hoc reports and analyze as needed
  • Participate in department sponsored projects and other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  • US GAAP knowledge is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud or other ERP system


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Asset management or other financial institution experience is a plus
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
